What are you wearing?

Captain's Log ...

  • Day 10: Clothes
Hello everyone...today I learned about clothes, the new words that I learned were:
-vest-chaleco
-suit-traje
-leather-cuero
-sweatshirt-sudadera


One of activities was to describe what was you wearing and I said:
-I'm wearing a blue jeans, polo t-shirt, sneakers and a white jacket.

Verbs

Captain's Log ...

  • I have lost the count of days..lol : Past tense of regular verbs 
 Today we learned the way to say some regular verbs in past tense, for example:
-play-played
-work-worked
-walk-walked..etc
  
The pronunciation depends on the form that it ends...if it ends in "K,P,S,F"  the pronuciation is with "T".

There are three ways to pronounce the regular verbs in past...
-with [ t ]
-with [ id ]
-or with [ d ]


  •  Day ...¿? : Past tense of irregular verbs
Amm...we still learning about the verbs in past tense,today were irregular verbs in past like ...
-speak-spoke
-break-broke
-buy-bought..etc.

I still learning


Captain's Log ...

  • Day 5: Describe myself

Today I learned a several adjectives in English and the correct form to put them in orde to describe some person, thing.



Some of them were:

* Fat
* Thin
* Chubby
* Nice
* Little
* Old
* Funny ... etc


An exercise in class was how to describe ourselves, and this was what that I wrote ...

I'm Nayelly, am a nice person. I have a short hair and a white skin, my eyes are brown and my body is thin. I am happy and a little shy, but at all am a funny girl.

  • Day 6: A interview

Today we saw a video with some interviews.In the video someone was asking to another person what was his/her name, if he/she could spell it and his/her astrological sign.

The exercice in class was to interview a partner...

N-Hi! what's your name?
J-Jorge
N-Could you spell that?
J- j.o.r.g.e
N-what's your astrological sign?
J-libra
N-what are libras like?
J-funny, kind ,etc.

  • Day 7: Prepositions

Today I saw the prepositions in English, the teacher taught  us the difference between each of them and  I learned the true meaning of

Over and Above, under and below.

Over = directly top of something
Above = Indirectly top of something , by top of.
Under = Directly below of something
Below = Indirectly below of something , below of.
  • Day 8: Countries and nationalities

In this day I learned the name of some countries and nationalities.
We saw a funny video of that...

Until today I learned many things in English class, some of them are only a supplement to reinforce my knowledge but are equally helpful.
  • Day 1: Phonetic alphabet


The first thing I learned was the phonetic alphabet, with which we can know how to pronounce the most of words in English.



I learned that if  in the dictionary  the word has the symbol [i], sounds like the "i" normal but short sound such as "bit" and that if it has this symbol [I] the sound is long such as "meet".


Other examples:
[E] - "met"
[Ө] - "think"


  • Day 2:Hello-Goodbye
    On this day the teacher showed us several videos about the different forms of greeting, whether formal or informal ...



    Some as:

    * See you
    * Good morning
    * Good bye
    * Hello
    * Hi
    * How are you?
    * What do you do?
    * See you later
    * Nice to meet you
